I am also thinking about the card. I had a GigaByte 7600GT Silentpipe II before, excelent card for PC (gaming mostly), but unusable for OSX86 (no drivers for QE etc.). Now I am using an integrated 945G (also Gigabyte's mobo, check my signature). If I buy one, I will let you know, however, it is not in the nearest future I am afraid.

Since a week of 2 I have this card now. And I love it!

It's fully working. I didn't had to do anything after installing 10.4.7 with the boris-patch in it.

QE/CI, DVI, sleep etc....all working!

If have added this card to the wiki page as well.

I'm thinking to buy a GigaByte X1600XT Silentpipe.

Is this card fully working without any problems, after using Boris' patch?

I mean also on DVI.....

Thanks.

Hi there! I want to give the Gigabyte Card a try but in your Posting youre talking about a 1600 XT and your Signature says its a 1600PRO...so which one is the SUPER Card that works so good with all funktions...

Can you post a link to the:

"I didn't had to do anything after installing 10.4.7 with the boris-patch in it"

10.4.7 you speak of? Is there a full build that I can just load, which includes patch for this card? Just got my gear in the mail, and excited to get it working.

I have a really bad 10.4.6 build, which took me like a half of dozen times to install on a Intel 945 with Pentium D820.

I just got a Pentium D 950, Intel 945GTP and Giga X160XT, and I would like to only try to install OSX one time :)

Thank in advance for the link....
