Swizzle
Nerds, lend me your ears! What would be the best motherboard/processor combination for a homemade Mac that would give me maximum OS X compatibility, with a minimum of patching? Keep in mind that this machine would also double as my main windows XP box, and hence should give me good performance in games as well, so no Celerons . Edit: Wrong forum. Core due has different motherboard requirements to the pent D? :S Yeah, the video card will be pretty straight forward. Shame everybody has trouble with the 9600XT though, I only got mine early last year. What chipset are the Core 2 Duo imac, and Xeon macpros using?
