deadphone99
Hi All, This is my first post!! Anyway, I saw a tutorial on youtube of how to triple boot mac os x, windows 7 and ubuntu. So, I thought I would give it a go. I downloaded a copy of Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and the MODCD. When I came to boot up into the MODCD, I put my 10.6.7. disk in and it wouldn't recognise it (it was also a retail copy that I had burnt onto a DVD+RDL) Then I tries putting in a OSX86 distro and it picked that up fine. I was wondering why it would not find my retail copy. Or is there another way I can install it? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273365-using-modcd-to-install-mac-os-x/ Share on other sites

Hackintosh2000
what do you mean by 10.6.0 and 10.6.3 are the only retaill versions? You downloaded an illegal distro. You need to go to the Apple store near you and purchase a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 DVD. A Mac for $30 ain't bad dude. When you have the retail OS X DVD then download the Nawcom ModCD. Make sure your bios is set to AHCI and then boot off of the ModCD. At the appropriate time put the retail OS X DVD in the drive and install. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273365-using-modcd-to-install-mac-os-x/#findComment-1777949 Share on other sites
