DELL Inspiron E1505 Inter core Duo T2050

I am new in here and trying to figure if I can install OpenSource OSx on Dell E1505. Where can I get a Open Source version of OSX?

I figured that the Dell E 1505 can run 10.4.6 But where is the Open Source version that I can download?

 

OpenDarwin seems to be shutdown. Can some one point me to an opensource Image which I can burn and install on the laptop?

There is no "open source" OSX. Darwin, which underlays OSX, is open source: http://www.macosforge.org/

 

But OSX is proprietary to Apple. Some people have figured out how to install OSX on Intel and AMD driven PC's, but that doesn't make it open source. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=14364

I did read that page you pointed me to. may be I should have asked my question in a different way. I understand that OS X is Apple' propietary. I am wondering if there was some thing like that.

 

I ended up on macosforge and navigated to here where I can see gz files. I can install SSH/vim/others later.

But what I am looking for is downloading something like an ISO image to install initially. (or) some thing like that doesnt exist at all.

 

Am I missing something simple?
