The other day I updated to 10.7.2, however, it won't pass the message "Still waiting for root device" after trying many suggestions on the net, to no avail, anyone has any suggestions? When the system is fully bootable again you can resise back. The reason why you need to resize the partition is that os x corrects the partition label by doing so.
