Hi,

I've have a little issue with Lion boot (but the same was under Snow)

Sometimes the boot hangs at begins (but no kernel panic, simply when the boot logo appears and the hard disk should start loading it don't load) and I have to force shutdown with the power button.

Then, at the new restart the boot goes on without problems.

What could be the cause of this problem?

I tried many chameleon's versions but nothing changes

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem and I found that I can "usually" boot normally if kernel cache was not used. You can achieve it by either using -f flag or "UseKernelCache=No" in the ~boot.plist file. The only side effect is a slightly longer boot time.

I think you can have a try to add the code below into the com.apple.Boot.plist or org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

<key>SystemId</key>
<string>xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx</string>

Something like: 44454C4C-5000-1092-8087-B9C04F365081 (the last 12 code may be your mac address)
