For those who cant get VoodooBattery to work, so they end up getting kernel panics, i suggest trying the file i have attached below. Its a modified ACPIBatteryManager.kext, works great for me. Not had 1 kernel panic so far, only tiny problem is that sometimes it will get the % wrong BUT it does calculate the remaining time correctly so theres no worry of it shutting off without telling you.
