hey guys,

after three years of struggling with this card finally made it works on Lion 10.7

all works ( resolutions, QE/CL , the correct data in about this mac )

here are the kexts you should put in S/L/E

And that's EvoEnabler you should put it in E/E

And here is my smbios , org.chameleon.Boot and com.apple.Boot

no , my kext ( the kext who you are used ) work perfectly in snow 10.6.7 and 10.6.8 :(

I also have this problem. I have set a resolution for the boot and it loads correctly. However, as soon as the os comes on the screen is split into four, with the correct resolution in each part. All of the screens are clones. Great to see QE/CI working though. I am trying to run 1600x900. What did you successfully run the drivers on?

ok dude no problem i've sent you an inbox message, read it

It works for me too! Awesome! The fps on for example chess isn't high, but my native resolution works. Can't get the VGA or HDMI ports to work decently yet, but this is a huge step forward! Thanks so much!

EDIT: My monitor seems to get screwed up when sleeping (or when waking of from sleep).

the same thing happens with me, but is your color gradient right, i mean when there is a gradient form black to grey, it is not smooth it's divided into lines, i hope you got my idea

I'll pop in here and say try ATI4350.fix, a set of 3 kexts that inject your vendor and device numbers into a couple of ATI Controllers. Comes in a zip file.

Don't use EVOenabler with it. You only get VGA output (and maybe hdmi, but I don't an hdmi monitor so can't say) if you use EVOenabler.

Without EVOenabler you get both VGA and DVI outputs with multiple choices of resolution. I think you get QE/CL also, but it is hard to tell because System Profiler won't tell you.

I get full access to movies and videos, though. On both monitors. 1360x768 on the M260VA Visio 26" TV/Monitor and 1280x1024 on the Acer AL1914 19" Monitor.

Just put these 3 kexts into /Extra/Extensions and GraphicsEnabler=Yes in your boot flags of either org.chameleon.Boot.plist (in /E/E) or com.apple.Boot.plist (in /S/L/E/) run kext utility to reset the permissions for both /E/E and /S/L/E then reboot.

I have used the following methods to regain the ability to see on my laptop screen again:

Boot in single user mode, then mount the partition read-writeable :

/sbin/mount -uw /

and move all ATI drivers to a backup folder :

mkdir /atibackup

cp -R /System/Library/Extensions/ATI*.* /atibackup

then delete them fully from /S/L/E :

rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/ATI*.*

Then I still had to boot into safe mode, normal mode gave me a kernel panic.

Any help?

It says it detected a ATI Radoen HD 4530 now, with 3MB Vram...
