I've installed my OS X Lion recently, and everything went fine, except one thing. I cannot watch my CPU and GPU temperatures and I am pretty worried about my graphics, cause it doesn't cause a lot of noise when I'm playing Heroes of Newerth like in Windows, maybe its Apple magic, but I don't think so. Could anybody help me with that? I didn't install any ATI kexts only have GraphicsEnabler=Y key in Chameleon. I could give additional information about my system if necessary.

Go to this link and see Radeon Monitor topic.

Whenever I add the RadeonMonitor.kext to /S/L/E I get a kernal panic complaining about the kext. Not sure why I get the KP as all the other "monitoring" kexts load fine. Currently, I just have IntelCPUMonitor.kext loading. But I have tried just the RadeonMonitor.kext by itself as well.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I personally never got a KP on my 4850 using the above kext but my guess is that it might be because your 4870 is the X2 version. I'd have to find another user with an X2 to see if the KP issue happens as well with their card.
