davegarbs Posted September 5, 2006 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Every time I try to shut down the hackintosh it stops at the light blue screen. - there is no spinning beachball - screen is entirely blank with pastel blue background - hard drives completely shut off The computer will sit at this blue screen until I power it off manually. Restarting works fine and never hangs at this screen. Any Suggestions? cmstar Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 I seem to have the same problem, but only when I boot into safe mode (boot option "-x") I don't know if the two are related. However, look at your com.apple.boot.plist and see if the -x option is specified in the file. The OS is functioning top-notch its just that it doesn't seem to like shutting down. w.jeffrey Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 i have the same problem, except on mine it displays a checkered white vertical line down the center and then on each side it sometimes has the spinning gray circle image. it also chooses to do this arbitrarily as sometimes it shuts down all the way lol. :-\ works well other than that!
