ted
What exactly happens when you run one core in order to successfully use mac os x on a pc? Say you have a 1.6 core duo, will it run at 800mhz or will it run at 1.6 at a single core rate as if you were using a core solo? DHARQAXIAN
Hi Ted..., if that was a question tome, then I can only say the following. I am using a sgl core AMD Athlon XP 2300, with 1.5GB of memory using a NTFS partitoned Seegate 300GB hard drive. I used F8 to access the boot options and selected -v to try and start the OS in verbose. In verbose there is an error message of a mismatched process/protocol. Nothing worked. Tried using VMWare with Bridged network, Independant-Persistent hard drive with 512MB ram and 8GB hard drive image. Doesn't work. In VMWare it complains of a missing config file that looks like a url. I tried usin MacDisk = allows you to run native MAC CD & DVD on a PC, but as I am usin the i386 DVD its not recognised by the MacDisk application. I am at a loss witout completely upgrading my box to a 64bit, Dual-Core base system, with an Intel processor. DHARQAXIAN
Fank you for your reply - I can I am going to have to upgrade from the ground up - ditch my 32 and get a 64bit system complete with sse2 compliant processor. abbub
You really want an SSE3 compliant system, not an SSE2 compliant system. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26641-running-1-core/#findComment-181321 Share on other sites
