Moiz TK
hey, i have a RT2860 Ralink pci card. It works perfectly with the latest ralink drivers in Snow leopard, but i updated to lion and now it wont work. I tried all the drivers from ralink's site and it still doesnt work. ON the latest one, it always shows DISCONNECTED, even if i create a profile and connect to it, or just simply connect to any network, it still shows DISCONNECTED. ON the older versions, it keeps connecting and disconnecting, and doesnt keep a stable connection. I tried almost everything and it still doesnt work, so can anyone help plz? thxs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/264579-rt2860-for-lion/ Share on other sites

I tried almost everything and it still doesnt work, so can anyone help plz? thxs I have a 2870 USB stick and by all that I experienced is that the SL kexts are fine for Lion ( latest always direct from ralinks site ) , but ralink's strange "utility" that is used for connecting is simply not Lion compatible. Whenever I make use of the fullscreen feature of a Lion program the "utility" pops up and wants to reconnect. I use a 3rd party made ( someone from here I think made it ) menubar applet plus prefpane to connect and now all is good. But this is only hacked to work with the USB things. See my guide in signature for the file if you want to hack it. Maybe if you put in the device ID of your pci card it will work with it ? At least its only a generic Profile Creator. The one you have used the last time is automatically connected via the menu-item ( i have it in autostart ). I wonder when Ralink will release software that is working with Lion. Like I said the drivers/kexts are not the problem. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/264579-rt2860-for-lion/#findComment-1731794 Share on other sites
