Helly everyone,

Since Lion is out i am trying to install it on my pc. I have a Acer Aspire 594G64MN Notebook running Snow Leopard perfectly (10.6.8) It boots fast and runs very stable.

I have downloaded Mac OS X Lion.pkg and installed it. Made the second partition and use Xmove like in many tuturials. Everything went fine, until i tried to boot de second partition(installer). It just won't boot. I've tried many things:

- Installed a wide variety of chameleon bootloaders incl. chimera

- installed many different kext

- tried to install using a USB

The problems with booting different, depending on the kext and bootloader

- Boot hangs on netkas present,.......

- AppleRTC.kext could not be located

- PCI Configuration error.

I don't understand why it wont boot while Snow Leopard boots perfectly.

I hope you guys can help me further. Its really frustrating. Many thanks!

i dont have much exp with notebooks but try this

install chameleon r1083 and add fakesmc 3.1.0 +ur working vga, sound.netwrok kexts from SL + smbios and see will it work or not.

I've tried the installation like you recommended. To bad it didn't boot the installer completely. Here are the results:

Picture 1 is with chameleon bootloader r1083 with flags: "-v -usekernelcache=yes"

Picture 2 is with chimera bootloader with flags:-v usekernelcache=yes:

For some reason it is necessery to use the "-usekernelcache=yes" flag. Does anybody knows what this does?

I've come a little bit further. Any suggestions to boot further

(sorry for my crappy English;) )
