Guest bikedude880
I am assuming that you are installing the JaS 10.4.7 release. You need to select the GMA900 package along with the packages for your cpu. I had this problem recently and this cleared it right up. Guest bikedude880
I was using a version called gotsecx i think and booted using darwin, i have the original osx tiger disc, what patches do i need to download in order to get this workin? I would recommend that you get either patched 10.4.6 DVD (JaZ, Myzar) and use that. You might want to either boot into Windows and run a program called CPUID or boot a live Linux distro (use Damn Small Linux for size) and run the command cat /proc/cpuversion Other than that, you should be fine. The patches? GMA900, 10.4.6 patched update, and either SSE2 or SSE3 (not both) depending on your proc (the paragraph above will give you info on your proc that will either say "SSE2" or "SSE2 SSE3" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26347-display-problems/#findComment-178742 Share on other sites

LarryM.net
I have this same problem, I installed OS x86 fine, and it works, but if I boot normally I get my display all messed up like the guy in the first post. If i boot up with "-x" safe boot, it works fine. Is there a patch I can just download? I have 10.4.6 DVD(not sure what one) -Larry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26347-display-problems/#findComment-185671 Share on other sites

What packages did you select when you installed 10.4.6? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=4249 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26347-display-problems/#findComment-185678 Share on other sites
LarryM.net
I have an Intel intergraded graphics, im not sure what model and what not. And I didnt do any packages when I installed, I just did the strait up install... do I need to redo it with packages? Thanks. EDIT: I just formated and went to install again, but my "Installation Type" section doesnt look like the one in the picture you provided... I dont have any packages, the only the I can click is Install. Is this something I have to enable first, or do I have to add them to the DVD, or can I just update it once I have OSX installed, since I can go into Safe Boot with "-x".. Thanks EDIT #2: Im retarded... lol I didnt see the customize option... I got it now. Thanks for your help.
