I followed MaLd0n's Tutorial to install Lion. I created the Installer drive without any problem on a partition of my external HD.

When I reboot the drive to start the Installation, it hangs on: USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 00000.....

I already tried other Bootloader and using various flags...without any change. Have tried to find some solutions in the forum, but it seems nobody had this problem yet.

Does someone has an idea what's wrong?

I've got some advice in another forum, which helped a bit:

Just replace the AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext files from SL 10.6.7 inside the Lion install partition?

Yes, copy to S/L/E, drop your extensions directory into kext utility so that it will create an Extensions.mkext, and copy that into /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup.

But now it stucks at From path: "UUID", Waiting for boot volume with UUID....

Not sure if I will ever see the Lion install screen.
