Hello Everybody!

I've been reading this forum for almost one month and compiling informations.

So last week I decided going through install snow leopard in my laptop HP PROBOOK 4310,

Zero problems with installation,

I also install snow leopard 10.6.8 combo

I can configure my video card with x4500 kext from kexts.com

I have just POST-installation problems, Snow leopard doesnt recognize PCI so i can't configure wireless and ethernet.

I did everything for broadcom BCM4312. Using Kext utility placing AppleAirport and BCM4311.kext but My computer still doesnt recognize my wireless card. Even in System Utility doesn't appears.

Also i tried BCM4312enabler.sh and nothing.

The problem i Think is not the kext or drivers just the computer can't recognize PCI cards.

After I tried with IOPCIFamily fix with Kext Utility and when i reboot Kernel Panic with ACPI. I did 4 times the installation and nothing

some helps??

Thank you

I checked with DPCI manager and my broadcom wireless card appears in the list. But how can i make the system recognize it?

shows:

14e4:4315

and i put <string>pci14e4,4315</string> in list on System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/Info.plist

and saved.

Reboot but i'm still without wireless airport. in system utility on PCI devices is in blank

any idea???

thanks CooSee

Im using the last version of Chimera.

i checked com.apple.boot.plist and ethernetbuiltIN is already on YES

the thing is why DPCI manager, efi studio can x86 tools can see my pci card in pci14e4;4315

but in system utility on pci devices section appears nothing also with IOregistryExplorer only shoz IOPci2PciBridge on all RP ports

thank for your help

My wireless card in windows 7 appears like:

Broadcom 802.11g

PCI VEN_14E4&DEV_4315&SUBSYS_1508103C&REV_01

My Ethernet GIGABIT ETHERNET Marvell Yukon 88E8072 PCI-E

PCI VEN_11AB&DEV_436C&SUBSYS_7015103C&REV_10

YES YES i put all those kext in S/L/E also I can navigate to IO80211Family/Contents/PlugIng/

and inside this folder is AppleAirPortBcrm4311.kext

your WiFi is Broadcom ' 4315 ', did you try this ?

Broadcom WiFi kexts !

register for Download.

and ETH Network is Marvell Yukon ' 8072 '

Yukon kexts !

about the WiFi, there's is maybe a solution if you fake the ID and tell OSX that is a ' 4311 ' and not ' 4315 ',

just an idea!

good luck :P

CooSee ' Ya

but in system utility on pci devices section appears nothing

This is perfectly normal on a Hackintosh, if you want to see PCI devices listed in System Profiler you have to add code to your DSDT. It's just cosmetic, PCI devices appearing in System Profiler or not has absolutely no bearing on functionality. Much in the same vein you can have fully working audio without anything listed under "audio (built-in)".

thank you guys!!!

Ok. I didnt have time for visit the forum these last days because the job.

Thanks Gringo Vermelho about the LIST. I got that's only make up for beauty. ok

But I'm still stack with the kext for wireless card. Nothing I installed Kexts Broadcom from Kexts.com and nothing happened. no wifi no airport appear.

I tried installing IOPCIFamily from ##### and I reboot paffffffffffffffff Kernel Panic ACPI again. So frustrating mates. .....

You guys think if i change the broadcom card wireless swap into another chipset ??? If I change which brand-chipset do you recommend me??

Thanks for your time.

Actually I didn't try to fix Marvell Yukon for ethernet because I want fix wireless first.

Thank you again
