budha_drm
Hello Everybody! I've been reading this forum for almost one month and compiling informations. So last week I decided going through install snow leopard in my laptop HP PROBOOK 4310, Zero problems with installation, I also install snow leopard 10.6.8 combo I can configure my video card with x4500 kext from kexts.com I have just POST-installation problems, Snow leopard doesnt recognize PCI so i can't configure wireless and ethernet. I did everything for broadcom BCM4312. Using Kext utility placing AppleAirport and BCM4311.kext but My computer still doesnt recognize my wireless card. Even in System Utility doesn't appears. Also i tried BCM4312enabler.sh and nothing. The problem i Think is not the kext or drivers just the computer can't recognize PCI cards. After I tried with IOPCIFamily fix with Kext Utility and when i reboot Kernel Panic with ACPI. I did 4 times the installation and nothing some helps?? Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262677-pci-not-recognized-not-wireless-and-ethernet/ Share on other sites

Broadcom WiFi kexts ! register for Download. and ETH Network is Marvell Yukon ' 8072 ' Yukon kexts ! about the WiFi, there's is maybe a solution if you fake the ID and tell OSX that is a ' 4311 ' and not ' 4315 ', just an idea! good luck CooSee ' Ya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/262677-pci-not-recognized-not-wireless-and-ethernet/#findComment-1716954 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
but in system utility on pci devices section appears nothing This is perfectly normal on a Hackintosh, if you want to see PCI devices listed in System Profiler you have to add code to your DSDT. It's just cosmetic, PCI devices appearing in System Profiler or not has absolutely no bearing on functionality. Much in the same vein you can have fully working audio without anything listed under "audio (built-in)".
