copperboy
Hi. I was successful with the bootCD method along with the retail DVD. But at that time, the graphics card is Geforce 9500GT, which is supported in 10.6.3 retail DVD. Later I replaced the 9500GT with the newer GT240. Now if I boot into the retail 10.6.3 DVD, I get kernel panic. The problem is that there is no GT240 drivers in retail 10.6.3 DVD. How can I do it... The solution might be: 1. extract kexts from later combo updates like 10.6.8 2. make a image of 10.6.3 retail DVD 3. replace the files in image of 10.6.3 4. burn a new one but how can I do it since the permission is complicated... Need your help, please. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/261755-how-to-put-drivers-in-retail-dvd-image/ Share on other sites
ifrit05
Just install 10.6.3 with your 9500GT, update to 10.6.8, install newer graphics drivers, and then swap out GPU's. Gringo Vermelho
Or simply boot your install DVD with GraphicsEnabler=n. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/261755-how-to-put-drivers-in-retail-dvd-image/#findComment-1710880 Share on other sites
