Hi nice community! First of all I wish to thank you for the brilliant contribution you gave to realize my dream!

Did someone noticed the same problem on its machine?

My hackintosh (see my signature) shoutdown suddenly :( without any apparently reason. The only

thing I've noticed is that console system log shows a continous airport device searching. My machine

is linked with Dlink DSL-G604T wireless adsl router through cable.

Done! I will check and post the results. The console system log show the following message:

Is this something that repeats? Is it a one time event?

Random reboots can be a number of things such as temperature, hardware failure, process collisions, etc.

If it’s not a repetitive issue, I would ignore it for now.

I doubt it has anything to do with the airport. Try watching your cpu load and you can also watch logs in real-time as events happen by opening terminal and using the tail command.

Example;

$ cd var/log/

$ tail-f system.log

You can tail any log in real-time.

Hope this helps.

The system doesn't reboot but shoutdown each 3-4 hours, in my opinion could be something with lan, 'cause before shutting down, the machine lost the link with my adsl router linked through by cable on LAN1 of A8N-SLI Deluxe (lan Nforce). I modified that Lan driver by mistake with forcedeth medoth, and after that I saw strange things, The second LAn (Marvell Youkon 88E8001) works good with musashi kext. Anyway I'm not an expert so I decide to post my log.

Thank you allsystem.zip

Just a shot in the dark -- before i go through the grooling process of picking through a log, have you tried disableing power management?

Sometimes PM can casue net devices to try to sleep and when they try to wake up -- crash

If OSX has a malfunctioning PM or incompatable, this could cause a problem by trying to put devices to sleep while in use. <-- seen this in other fourms!

I also agree with the above. Disable all network items and turn off all sharing services like Apple Talk and so on.

If I see something specific in the logs i will let you know.

Try those and let me know.

BTW. Sorry if there are mis-spells, i am tired.
