Alessandro17
I have enough of the very limited GMA 950. On the other hand I don't like ATI (as somebody who has been using Linux for a long time I can't have a good opinion of ATI) So I am really looking forward to full NVIDIA support. I really think its close now, this is the most STABLE version ever, and np_ has been slaving away for months solely on the purpose of getting opengl support and all that which we have been badgering him for forever about. (well most of it anyway ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26097-opengl-support-so-close-new-release-macvidia/#findComment-177381 Share on other sites

FriedCPU
as somebody who has been using Linux for a long time I can't have a good opinion of ATI I realise this is an nvidia thread, But just wanted to say that I have used linux for the past 3 years and never had any problems with ati drivers on a number of cards. I know that the support for ati cards used to be pretty rubbish but people still assume that is the case, I dont think it is anymore, there appears to be just as much compatability with ati cards as with nvidia in linux now. Well, good to know, because GMA 950 is even less supported in Linux, and I want a better card anyway. retroz
Well, good to know, because GMA 950 is even less supported in Linux, and I want a better card anyway. Not only that, some of us want better cards and dual display, regardless of chipset. You would have though with MAC PRO the cards GPU would have opened that door. Apparently it has not, at least not yet.
