Sn1pest3r Posted June 26, 2011 Share Posted June 26, 2011 I've just updated mac os x to 10.6.8, and everything works well except for the sound which is not present anymore and the LAN not present either, for the sound i used [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to install ALC8xxHDA and the AppleHDA.kext, for the LAN i used modified IONetworkingFamily.kext and nForceLAN.kext, now, what can i do to restore them? Use multybeast again to restore them. Dunno, i don't use LAN only WLAN via Airport. Sn1pest3r Posted June 26, 2011 Author Share Posted June 26, 2011 solved! I reinstalled all the kexts and now everything is working! I must say i thought that I would regret this upgrade (because of issues like the ones above), but I'm happy i upgraded, OSX now boots faster and for some reason is working very, very flawless. P.S. after the update some new Plugin kexts appeared in /System/Library/Extensions more precisely graphic cards kexts, for ATI, Intel, and nVidia, I attached a photo below, anyone knows why they're there? If you didn't have those files before the update you or someone else must have deleted them.
