Loloke
I use retail installed SL 10.6.7, and all components worked correctly. I recently updated to 10.6.8, and my NVidia 9600GT card is now broken. Anyone have ideas? My config: Gigabyte GA945GCM-S2L, Intel Celeron E1400, Leadtek NV9600GT, 3GB DDR2, 32GB SSD Disk. Some other infos: It worked by custom EFI string, now i tried NVenabler, and DSDT too, but isn't working. I attached a "screenshot", how it looks like now: (sry for my bad english) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/260749-1068-update-broke-my-nvidia-9600-gt/ Share on other sites

Synthology
Greetings, I'm getting the same thing on one of my systems. I have an Asrock Conroe945GDVI. I think it has to do with the system recognizing both internal and external video. Meaning, it causes problems because of the GMA950 graphics and your Nvidia card. I am getting the exact same effect on my screen with the Asrock and 9400GT card. I get to boot without graphics using the boot flag( "GraphicsEnabler"="no" ) Hopefully somebody can address this issue. If I figure this out, I'll post back. I have been working on this for quite a while, but no dice. Fabio1971
Same problem again, but on 10.7.0... Any ideas? The 9600GT video card is recognized natively only with this: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> I apologize for my English Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/260749-1068-update-broke-my-nvidia-9600-gt/#findComment-1746493 Share on other sites
fantomas
hi if you do this, you'll gone have the same problem like Loloke ! The solution is the same like for 10.6.8 ( normal, the same drivers ), using the kexts from 10.6.7 like it say "sergiy.gagarin" ! After copy kexts from 10.6.7 ( in S/E/E ), then use <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> and then you'll gonna have QE/CI !
