Thanks in advance for your help !

Edit: i read somewhere:

"the Appstore will block your purchase if it detects unsupported hardware" is there a way to come around this?

Blocking the Appstore inet connection didn´t work ;)

Hi Hades,

I'm getting the same error about the Helium Framework. Have you figured out how to get past this?

I was told that I needed to remove Final Cut Express before installing Final Cut Pro X so I tried a utility called FCS Remover. It didn't fix my problem, but maybe it will yours.

Please let me know if you have found a solution. I would greatly appreciate it.

those frameworks are not from the OS. They are inside the app itself, open the package and have a look into it - everything that FCX needs to run is included already, including the "Helium" framework. . It even has different frameworks for Snow and for Lion so it will run on both platforms. So you need to check the integrity of your FC X.app package, maybe it's corrupted ? Try downloading it again from AppStore.

FC Express4 or FCS7 can be already installed, it does not affect running Version X.

FC X however has requirements like 64bit CPU and a OpenCL capable GPU plus minimum OSX 10.6.6, but normally AppStore checks that all before it allows the purchase. For me it runs fine on the Ati Mobility in Snow and/or Lion.
