-!N-
Hi, I've installed 10.6.3 (iAtkos S3), after updating FakeSMC and deleting ATI* kextx (got an ATI Mobility HD 2400XT) i got 10.6.3 to boot in vesa. Then i installed kext for my eth0 and got it to work after rebooting. All fine until now, but then I updated to 10.6.7. (kernel was never replaced) I always get stuck at ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out I have installed different FakeSMC.kext (from here) What can I do? -!N-
We're working on it here. But all we tried was under 10.5. 0xdeadbeef meant that there might be a chance to get it work under 10.6.7 so i wanted to get this version installed, and i'm stuck at the point mentioned. I dunno whether ci/qe were supported, because i dont get so far that i could check. But I think there are problems with ATI's X2000 kexts again, which is why i have them removed. Anyone knows how to fix the "timed out" problem? 10.6.7 is installed on first disk. Disk is the first in the boot priority and the partition where SL is installed is the very first. MBR is chosen. Gringo Vermelho
I have installed different FakeSMC.kext (from here) That's from 2009. The latest version of FakeSMC can be downloaded from here: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1643 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258952-appleintelcpupowermanagement-timed-out/#findComment-1696897 Share on other sites
-!N-
Jep, i tried this too, but i thinks its the load of the graphic extensions and not the smc itself. I did a little workaround and tried a few things with my ati graphic kext and I was able to boot in safe mode.
