martin1976
Oh, I really appreciate it bro! I'm not bitching about it, I'm not the kind. But I'm just totally ignorant of commands and OS X in general. Rammjet thanks a lot too. Those solutions only work for me fo a while. When I restart I have to do it again. But like I said, please don't worry about it so much, it's just a question waiting for an answer, no big deal... Mofo-X
Greetings, Again as mentioned above, in the system console coreservicesd does crash, I think part of the problem might be related to the decrypt'd bins. I will have to look into the issue more. however i don't have the time this second, I did notice when usings mount_smbfs or sambaclient that the kernel extension for smb or something was loaded then and not before. Regards, mx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25841-personal-file-sharing-samba/page/2/#findComment-178768 Share on other sites
Mofo-X
Just thought that I would mention I am using the 10.4.7 + decrypt install DVD. It was the original JaS released as DMG and I converted it myself to an ISO, I doubt it has any bearing, I don't think JaS changed anything in the repack, just released it as ISO instead of DMG. General_Cartman
This is my only issue with my OSx86 installation currently, and it is kind of annoying. So this is only an issue with 10.4.7 installation disks? If I was to use 10.4.6 and patch it to 10.4.7 would it overcome this problem and if so, what is the best 10.4.6 dist to get? Excuse my ignorance, this is my first post here. Invisible Ink
Great! Works. Also solved the problem experienced trying to connect a Mac OS 9 volume from finder. Before restoring the link (as described below) nothing happend and you had to launch "/system/library/filesistems/appleshare/afp_mount" application to mount an afp volume. Now it correctly works directly from "Connect to server" (ctrl+K from finder). Thanks! Final solution of a problem: cd /usr/sbin sudo rm AppleFileServer sudo ln -s /System/Library/CoreServices/AppleFileServer.app/Contents/MacOS/AppleFileServer sudo unlink /System/Library/Filesystems/afpfs.fs smb, afp and firewall work!!!
