How can I dualboot from Mac HDD to Windows?

Thank you very much!

Thanks for all your help but now I can not boot to Windows XP even in safe mode!

Maybe reinstall Windows is the good choice! But I really afraid to do that because I have no time to reinstall Windows and any software with...

No ways anymore?

My sound onboard AC97 work fine but only strereo! I dont know how to get 5.1 sound surround! I never try a mic to see it working or not. I will try later!

well i have got the same problem.

i have the "medion md8809".

osx86 boots fine , until i have to choose the location, there it finds the dvd-drive only  .

i have tried to format the (3th) partition like: Fat32 primary and Fat32 logical.. but nothing works.

In bios sata mode is sett on : IDE ( the other choise is "RAID", wich also doesn't work)

Can someone help me out with this one??

dont reinstall windows, there is nothing wrong with your Windows Installation. It has to due with the HDD Driver windows is attempting to use. If your system didnt restart you would see a BSOD that said Unaccessible Boot Device.

If you want to get back into windows you need to change your IDE/SATA settings to their previous setting and windows will work. I have the same problem. If want to see my SATA (NTFS Drive) in OSX I have to disable some of the SATA features in my bios, however this causes WinXP to choke so to boot into windows I need to revert to previous HDD SATA/IDE settings.

The best thing to do to share files between both OSX and Windows is to install another IDE drive (or USB/Firewire Externel) in your machine and format it to FAT32 allowing both operating systems to read and write to the drive.

I hope that helps.

There are some SATA Patches out there but try this first.

Set SATA to IDE Mode

Note: This will cause windows to fail, but you will have read access to your SATA drives in OSX.

Then to boot back into windows set SATA back to your original setting my original setting is AHCI.
