Mr.Mac Help
What is the root to get to Disk Utility. I can only use Safe mode and it won't let me search for it, THX Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258026-disk-util/ Share on other sites
ifrit05
You can change root's password by using the terminal command: "sudo passwd root" Without quotes. Type the new password and you should be set. ifrit05
Ahhh ok lol. You said root so I thought you needed to change root's password to use diskutil. Anyways, you can use spotlight (the magnifier glass symbol at the upper right hand side of the screen) to search for programs and files easier than browsing your computer for them. (you can also use it as a calculator, i.e. "1+3" and it will give you "4", which is pretty handy) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258026-disk-util/#findComment-1690169 Share on other sites
