3.14r2 Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 There is AMD CPU installed in your PC. There two types of distro disks (kalyway and many others) - for Intel and for AMD. You need the AMD version. AMD is not the best option for OS X, since Apple uses Intel processors. It is possible to install OS X on AMD machine, but its more complicated process then with Intel PC. I have never did installation to AMD system, so can't help on this subject. ifrit05 Posted May 27, 2011 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Hmmm... so you chose the vanilla kernel in the installer options? AMD CPU's can not run a vanilla kernel, thats most likely your problem. You can chose a kernel to boot with boot flags, like: -v voodoo_kernel Replace voodoo_kernel with the name of kernel you want to use.
