Vienen
Im trying to install iPC_OSx86_Leopard_10_5_6_Intel_AMD_SSE2_SSE3 on my pc vista installed already. I want to start from a clean installation. the ISO burnt at dvd. Every time i try to boot from it restarts at Darwin Bootloader. I tried the -v -x -f -s none of them works except 'cpus=1' that i can reach to the grey apple screen. then nothing happens. do i have to format the partition? Specs: Intel Pentium Dual Core 1.80MHz MSI G31M3 RAM 2 GB NVIDIA Geforce 9400GT disabling USB Controller in BIOS fixed this problem. But now my USB mouse is not working. Any solution for that? Or i need a PS2 mouse? Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257445-stucked-on-grey-apple-screen/ Share on other sites

Vienen
thanks for the response. i managed a PS/2 mouse somehow. everything worked just fine. Now the problem occures with the installation. Failes everytime at the end of the installation remaining time counts less than one minute or so. the blue bar stops and after a while it restarts and take me to that grey apple screen and nothing happens. im wondering is this a problem with the customize settings. Any idea? thanks. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/257445-stucked-on-grey-apple-screen/#findComment-1686547 Share on other sites

IF it is possible re-enable USB Legacy Controller, UNPLUG all USB connections EXCEPT keyboard and mouse and continue on with the installation (it would really help if you used USB keyboard and mouse). Check the Vanilla Kernel 9.5.0 Uncheck the SMBIOS you selected, Uncheck the ethernet driver you selected. And lastly, uncheck the pacifist app, and only keep osx86 tools. In the installation you got to keep it as simple as you can. The kexts, and application can be installed later on while you are on the desktop of OS X. when it's finished, boot with -v, and if you can't with -v -x and see how that goes. good luck. I tried to follow your steps. But i had to disable USB Controller or i cant get to the installation and only cpus=1 works for me. The installation was successfull everytime. After reboot if i type -v shows a text screen where the last two lines say: "MAC Framework successfully intialized. using 10485 buffer headers and and 4996 cluster IO buffer headers." thats it. Other parameters take me to that grey apple screen. Now what? Its a common problem i guess. Can you suggest me any other version other than ipc osx86 10.5.6? Anyway, i would like to thank everyone here for their kind responses. Vienen
ok i solved the 'using xxxxx buffer header. . .' error by following THEO's guide posted here. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...78235&st=20. And i really thankful to him. but now it hangs at 'Kernel Version: darwin kernel version 8.8.1: {date} semthex:/nebukadnezard/build/obj/release_I386'. i searched a lot about this error but it seems no one could solve it yet.
