Shadout
I have a very frustrating problem here, well.. after a many failed trials i managed to install the 10.6.0 Hazard but without any updates. I used Chamilionare 10.5, Legacy AHCI SATA Fix, FakeSMC V1.0 from cutomize menu and everything was working great... well almost.. i had to enter the safe mode to delete "AppleTyMCEDriver" cuz i always got "u need to restart system" message. Now I tryed to install everything from begining but now ive added 10.6.1-10.6.2 updates after the installation has finished the real problem started.. I used Gparted to create boot flag to the partition and now when osx start booting everything is ok till it gets to apple loading screen.. then instantly crashes, i can barely see that loading screen, i cant even get to safe mode neither verbost mode.. I have Acer Travelmate 5320 Intel Celeron M530 1.8Ghz 2.5GB RAM Intel GMA X3100 80GB HDD 1 TB WD Elements as external I cant find anything about motherboard so i hope this will be enough info... Thanx in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/256424-os-x-1060-hazard-after-updateing-wont-start/ Share on other sites

rrprime
As a rule of thumb when i install OSX i make 3 partitions 1 for the MAIN osx 1 for a clone and 1 for the rest of the space misc usage. First try the 10.6.6i Hazard but i warn you it is a low quality build mail.app does not work..and some apps eg: Dreamweaver does not display main window. Second: when updating update the clone always and see if it works that way you always have a working OSX system Third: try using chameleon RC5 works well for me and most importantly Forth: Always but Always back up you Kexts Extension and Extra folder and Kernel before updating and putting them back after the update Fifth: the verbose is used via -v in the Chameleon screen so you can always go into verbose or safe mode even if the OSX install is currupted Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/256424-os-x-1060-hazard-after-updateing-wont-start/#findComment-1680219 Share on other sites
