  1. Hackintoshing a laptop and then hitting the big bump in the road that is the touchpad that is PS2 and then no gestures and hacky drivers I decided to take the hardware approach: The touchpad uses SPI or USB. Keep the CY8C24794 as this is the convert from SPI to USB. You will need to connect TPAD_VBUS_EN on the CY8C24794 (pin 4) to 3.3v as that is the voltage the CY8C24794 works on . I used a LM1117 to power the CY8C24794 and the touchpad at 3.3v , and the 5v straight from USB to power the touchpad electronics and the boost circuit for the actual touch. I used a part of a damaged Macbook 2012 MB on the back side you will need the circled part only which is the booster for the touchpad. I will reduce the piece as much as possible in the future. The MB was bought as damaged so just make sure you have the proper parts if you plan to do this. You can use this as a magic trackpad if you want. The main downside at this point is that the device is not connected to the SMC and will not show up in Preferences to configure the device as a workaround you can use MagicPrefs. The final step will be to integrate and replace my touchpad with the macbook pro and develop a prefpanel for it. UPDATE 03/03 - reduced the size even more Next step would be to sniff the I2C between the SMC and the touchpad on a working model (maybe try to inject into FakeSMC so enable the original prefpane)

  3. ProductName: Mac OS X ProductVersion: 10.12.5 BuildVersion: 16F73 booting via CLOVER Asus b551-la DSDT and debug logs attached Wake reason: XHC So the device sleeps OK while not charging but does not while plugged in/charging. While charging the wake reason is XHC. ( in the past had EHC2 but since the laptop does not have a USB2.0 I just removed it) While in the past this was not a problem now it is since I got a docking station and while docked the device is charging and can't sleep. I tried -gux_defer_usb2 also : <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>AddClockID</key> <true/> <key>FixOwnership</key> <true/> <key>HighCurrent</key> <true/> <key>Inject</key> Any help is appreciated Kexts: drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Apr 28 16:09 ACPIBatteryManager.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 ACPIDebug.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 ACPIKeyboard.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Aug 4 2012 AppleHDADisabler.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 AppleIntelE1000e.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 BrcmFirmwareData.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 BrcmNonPatchRAM2.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 FakeSMC.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 FakeSMC_CPUSensors.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Jun 6 18:12 FakeSMC_LPCSensors.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Feb 26 17:23 IntelBacklight.kext drwxrwxrwx@ 1 sajuuk staff 512 Sep 9 2015 VoodooHDA.kext sh-3.2# kextstat|grep -y acpiplat 13 2 0xffffff7f82f31000 0x60000 0x60000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (5.0) 65E05472-6AE7-3308-8CC8-FA6CB0DB2AEE <12 11 7 6 5 4 3 1> sh-3.2# kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu sh-3.2# kextstat|grep -y applelpc 119 0 0xffffff7f82a43000 0x3000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleLPC (3.1) F51595F0-F9B1-3B85-A1C3-F984DAD4107E <101 12 5 4 3> sh-3.2# kextstat|grep -y applehda sh-3.2# DSDT + debug logs.zip

Help needed for sleep/wake on laptop (UX305UA)

Check if you have power management working S3 state is available and also in Activity Monitor if there is a process preventing sleep (you have a separate column with yes/no)
  6. OS: 10.12.2 System: Asus b551 (laptop) Hey, did anybody encountered this issue ? EHC1 and XHC preventing sleep ONLY when charging. I fixed the and patched the DSDT myself all looks OK, tried to identify the plug/unplug event of the charger in DSDT Q50/Q51and all looks solid. the system enters _PTS and exits OK but just after that I get a XWAK on XHC. Case 1: Charger plugged in laptop goes to sleep wakes immediately after reaching S3 Case 2: Charger unplugged laptop goes to sleep enters S3, maintains state till woken up Case 3: Charger unplugged laptop goes to sleep enters S3, maintains state, charger plugged in, system maintains state till woken up

    X86 DSDT

Because this is a programming language and you have If (CondRefOf (MDBG)) { Return (MDBG) /* External reference */ Arg0 } // getting error at this point 1) Arg0 is never ever ever reachable and 2) Return means that the function existed 3) there is no point in calling Arg0 because it is not a funciton and you do nothing with it Slution: just comment it (add // on the same line) If (CondRefOf (MDBG)) { Return (MDBG) /* External reference */ // Arg0 } // getting error at this point

Place in Extra 11) Patch kernel with http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295587-power-management-for-sandyivy-bridgehaswell-cpus/. I used the one for 10.9.1. 12) generate smbios ( hardware is closest to a MacBook Air ). See attachement. Place in Extra 13) add kext for network: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.ro/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html (See attachement) 14) add kext for ALC662: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/3567-new-109-alc662-fully-working/ (See attachement) 15) if you did not use the DSDT I attached you need to patch via MaciASL the: usb_7-series-multiplex. This prevents the computer from waking randomly from sleep Enjoy https://www.mediafire.com/?707ezz5mtt39z5z

    SL10.6.6iHazard for T61

my dell 510 has the "famous" Intel82566MM and works well with the preloaded Intel82566MM.kext that comes with the Hazard if the state of the link is connected and you have no net connection make sure you unplug and replug the cable and it should work, sound try the VoodooHDA make sure you remove the AppleHDA, Video use the NVenabler have fun
  14. the installation is fairly easy i used 10.6.6i Hazard all works ok sound video quartz try to get info on your mb/video and search around the forums. actually it is easier then you think just read round a lot and you will be there
  15. use this as a guide: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.7 also would recommend Nvida card and Nvenabler
