Hi all

I installed Snow Leopard using ##### and ##### method and almost everything works fine except sound.

I have Gigabyte EG45M-UD2H motherboard with ALC 889A sound chip, and everythink worked fine until I updated my SL to newest version by system update, after update I had to reboot system and remove /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTymceDriver.kextand after next reboot my OSX works fine but without sound. I read somewhere that I should install an untouched rollback driver or sth, so I run ##### again and install rollback but still no sound, what should I do?

What did you do to have working sound before?

The update has overwritten something, maybe you were using a binpatched AppleHDA.kext?

Were you using VoodooHDA?

Unfortunately I am not sure what was exactly installed I simply checked the following options in #####.

1.Krxts & enablers>Audio>Realtek ALC 8xx>ALC 8xx HDA

2.Krxts & enablers>Audio>Realtek ALC 8xx>Non-DSDT HDA Enabler>ALC885 / 889a

and sound works until update through system update but it wasn't VoodooHDA, because VoodooHDA is located at

Krxts & enablers>Audio>Universal and there are several voodooHDA, unfortunately if I try to use it still no sound.

Any sugestions?
