travelan
Hey guys! I am running OS X on my AMD64 3000+. I used the vmware image and edited and repatched some files to make it fully functional to work with! In the beginning the OS was very slow, but after removing AppleTPMACPI.kext it is running at turbospeed! Sound is working (AC97) by editing the driver details. Can run in any resolution by boot with the following boot options: "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" Rosetta is working again, by repatching the CoreGraphics framework with the original from the DEV KIT. I am able to use it like it is a real mac! Are you guys interested in harddisk images? p3n5t3r
Same here on a P4 3.21 (LGA775) with HD Audio. Problems I have: Preview app for viewing images doesnt work, I have some problems with the keyboard layout. The preview app / or viewing images is the most obvious problem I have. I even installed some apps. Adium works without problems (and i was thinking apps needed to be recompiled, obviously I was missing somtheing ) Does the preview app work for you? Guest Leroy W. DeShevala
Please do... though I really just need your audio kext and the CoreGraphics you speak of. I really need Rosetta to work! And I have the same cpu as you do, no SSE3 right? Anyway, could you mail me these please, twinkikabuki@verizon.net ? travelan
Hey, You can PM me to get the patched files (or the original) you need. Just ask for instructions for Rosetta or AC97 Audio. Network is working without any tweaks, you just need a compatible networkcard. I think many realtek and 3com cards will work. And I have a venice core, so with SSE3. Harddisk image will follow. dts
Hey, I was able to get it working on my system minus Rosetta since i dont have SSE3. Here is my system spec: AMD Athlon64 3000+ (Winchester core) MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum Leadtek 6600GT For network, I had to use the Gigabit port on my motherboard. OS X did not recognize the 100Mbit port. I have not tested the audio, but that shouldn't be an issue. I haven't had much time to play with it, but possibly tonight. Adium works without problems (and i was thinking apps needed to be recompiled, obviously I was missing somtheing <_> It's a known issue for preview, but you can use Safari to preview images, just drag over it. I don't know if preview works right on Intel 900 cards. You're forgetting the San Diego core, which is a socket 939 with SSE3. It sucks, I have a Newcastle Core 3200, so I don't have SSE3. I'm new to this whole OSX86 thing, so what does this mean for me not having SSE3?? I'm tempted to try this..
