HP DV6T Intel i7 2nd Edition and ATI 6570

Hii Guys i try 2 week to install on my Laptop MAC OS X :

 

CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz

 

RAM : 8GB Memory Speed DDR3-1333 (667 MHz)

 

Video(GPU) : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6570 1GB GDDR5 (Chip Type ATI display adapter (0x68C0) )

 

Audio : IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (Device Description IDT 92HD81B1X)

 

HDD : Segate Momentus XT 500GB (Model ID: ST95005620AS, ATA Standard ATA8-ACS)

 

WiFi : WiFi Link 1000 BGN

 

LAN : Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

 

 

 

OK Problem is i can't install MAC OS i try

 

MAC OSX :iAtkos v0.7 10.6.3 - i can install bud dont start after reboot (after install)

 

MAC OSX :Hazzart 10.6.6i - panic screen and dont start anything

 

MAC OSX : 10.6.6 by Dany - panic but when i use comand (-x -v cpus=1) i can install but dont start after reboot (after install)

 

ONLY ONE SYSTEM WAS WORK:

after i try to make update on this system to 10.6.2 was work after i try to make update 10.6.3 was work after i try update to 10.6.4 was work. but when i try to install update 10.6.5 and 10.6.6 system show me screen N#1 in both case.

 

ok is not proplem to leave 10.6.4 but i don't have Video and Sound and WiFi driver

 

MAC OS X Retail 10.6.4 was work driver only : WebCAM,Bluetooth,LAN,USB

i also have a similar system except with 2720qm i7, touchscreen, and intel wifi/bluetooth (maybe it is centrino 6230), i would also like to know how 10.6.6 could install using vanilla kernel

 

have you tried [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] from tonymacx86? that's what i would try.

update: i tried it, you need to use tonymac's legacy version of [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]. for unsupported cpu/gpu.

 

update 2: idk what options to choose in [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to retain boot. because once i restart, i get to apple logo and then a scratched up grey screen

 

update 3:found this thread at tonymac.com.... it may help us out. (2720qm has busratio=22, while 2630qm has busratio=9)

I have also thought about the fact that I did not include support for my ATI (ID 68c0)

so i tried out the lion, mbp 2011 dvd, and 10.6.7 kexts

while still following the above route and I do not get the mentioned screen but I actually do not get any signal from my laptop display, even after following the edid fix guide

you you have same roblem with you display. Startup you Laptop in WIndows and delet files from mac Partition from MAC\System\Library\Extensions (and delet file:)

 

ATIRadeonX3000.kext

 

ATI5000Controller.kext

 

ATIFramebuffer.kext

 

ATISupport.kext

 

ant system will start bud you video wil work without driver

 

about Boot i just copy all files from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Legency folder extra and folder usr to my MAC partition and now i can start without CD and i have dualboot after in Chamelion you can put you resolution 1366x768x32 and make dual boot.

 

 

 

but i still need Video and sound and Wifi driver

First to try to boot from CD aftre instal from System http://www.kexts.com/view/960-chameleon-2.0-rc5-r748_[pkg_installer].html ://http://www.kexts.com/view/960-chame...nstaller].html after you will see you have boot but this evry time computer will go in restart after that you will bot aghe from CD in Windows and will copy both Folder from CD to MAC drive.

I have been messing with an HP DV6 for about a month now.

 

With mammoths method you can get a pretty clean system but with the insyde bios that HP uses on their laptops there is no way to get a vanilla kernel to work. you will have to use qoopz or taptuns chocolate kernels to get more than one core working on your system. The kernels they make are version specific (10.6.3, 10.6.4, etc)

 

they first thing I would do is ask Mald0n (very nicely) if he can edit your dsdt for you. there is a post in here somewhere that explains the files you will need to attach for him. just search for Mald0n. He is a very nice guy.

 

I can explain some special details once you get the main system installed.

For wifi, try Atheros AR5B93. Other people on the forums have mentioned success with this card. Also, check out Mammoth's guide to hacking your bios if the card is not on the whitelist.

there is also the Atheros AR9285, which is what I am using and is already on the whitelist of my dv6t

The reason that it is on the whitelist is probably because the one you are using right now has a HP sub system id, which means that not all versions of this wifi card would work. I am using Atheros 9280 on my HDX and the one extracted from a Toshiba didn't work whereas the other one from a HP DV7 worked out of the box.

Secondly, Atheros 9285, to my knowledge, is not fully supported by OS X, i.e failure to connect to N network. It is better to make sure and buy one that's fully supported. Some iMac models are using Atheros 9280 so I chose it.

Well I am trying to stay with legal installations so I'm waiting for 10.6.8 to be it's official final release

 

And boot cd doesn't seem to work for me at all during loading of DVD. [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] legacy is only thing that works properly

the best point i have reached is everything fully working,

except internal screen (it was blank, and only thing i use was screen sharing and external video output),

and sound.

 

hdmi and vga worked. i probably needed a proper dsdt and the correct framebuffer personality for my ati card and maybe the screen would have worked.

 

that was when using ati kexts from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] + [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] legacy method
