since a few days i work on a vanilla snow installation and got stuck with graphic.

Mainboard: Asus P5Q Pro BIOS 1613 Ver. 02.61 CPU: E8400

Graphic: MSI N210 MDIG 0x10de 0x0a23 Rev. 0x00a2

Bootloader my Hack 1.1

Installed 10.6.3, changed ID (0xa23) in NVDAN50Hal.kext and in NVDAResman.kext

Graphic works fine with QE/CI

Combo Update 10.6.6 / changed ID (0x0a23) in NVDAN50Hal.kext again.

No QE/CI

Installed NVEnabler64.kext with ID (0x0a23) in Extras

black screen during boot

I also tried Graphcenabler y and n in appleboot.plist, but no difference.

I have the same graphic card running fine on a Gigabyte board running 10.6.6 without any modification.

Maybe some one can point me into the right direction.

Thx

Did you try my custom EFI string method HERE? Make sure you remove any enabler kexts and make sure you delete GraphicsEnable=Yes.

Give it a go and let me know how it works for you. Do not just copy my EFI string. It probably won't work for you.
