waarten Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 hi i just installed snow leopard client server (hazard distro) 10.6.2. on my pc: amd phenom x2 550 4gb dd3 ocz 250gb sata hdd msi 770-c45 with this tutorial: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=213366 i like to update to the newest osx version (10.6.7) or 10.6.6, i tried with software update, but that didnt work and i had to reinstall osx can anybody tell me how to do this? thanks in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

waarten Posted February 4, 2011 Author Share Posted February 4, 2011 thank you for your replies, i installed the update and now everything is working fine (except firefox which crashes when launched) this is how i did it: download the 10.6.6 combo update delete sleepenabler launched terminalsudo -s --enter password-- cp -r /System/Library/Extensions /System/Library/Extensions.backup installed this kernel by anv (legacy kernel) installed combo update NO RESTART launched terminalsudo -s --enter password-- cp -r /System/Library/Extensions.backup /System/Library/Extensions restart Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just use [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and it will copy only the necessary files.
