rimmi2002
I have a GA-P35-DS3L mobo thats been working well with retail install of 10.6.6. I took a lot of time to find information from many different sources. I'm not a expert myself, but I did manage to get things together for a stable build so I though this might be helpful, since I didn't see any complete guides for this mobo on insanely mac. A lot of the credit goes to BlackOSX. I used his guide of the GA-EP45-DS3L to learn a lot of the basics of how to install SL. For some of the initial steps BlackOSX's guide provides detailed instructions with great pictures. You can look there is you are having trouble figuring things out. 1. Make a bootable USB stick. I think this is the best way to go. Will need a 8GB+ USB stick formatted in Mac OSX Extender (Journailized) with GUID partition table. - For more detailed pictures see BlackOSx guide. Part 1: - In spotlight go to diskutility then click on restore. For source drag in your SL leopard image file (*.dmg file) - For Destination drag in the USB stick. - Click restore. This will take about 30 minutes and will put Snow leopard on you USB stick. 2. Make your USB bootable. - Copy the attached /extra folder to the root of your USB stick. - Use the Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r593-Standard.pkg file attached in the post to install Cham 2.0 RC5-r593… Make sure to point at the USB stick for the install. Pointing to another drive will cause problems. - For newer Cham builds you can check out this post --> - After this is complete your USB will be bootable. - Reboot from the USB stick. 3. Install Snow Leopard - Again look at BlackOSX guide Part 2. I recc'd making two partition for Snow Leopard. One Labeled "Cham" (minimal size - 1gb) and one labeled "Snow Leopard" (rest of the disc) for your main install. - Go ahead and install Mac OSX on your "Snow Leopard" partition. - You'll need to boot into snow leopard for the first time with the USB stick. 4. Make Snow Leopard Bootable - (This process is similar to making the USB bootable) - Once in Snow Leopard. Again copy the /extra folder (can get it from the USB stick or below) to the "Cham" partition if you made it. Else copy it to your main "Snow Leopard" partition. - Again run the Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r593-Standard.pkg and this time point it to the partition with the "/extra" folder on it. Either "Cham" partition or "Snow Leopard" partition. - Run SnowR1000.app to install bonjour support. - You can download the 10.6.6 combo update from apple. Install it and restart. - On restart install the AppleHDA.kext in /System/Library/Extension folder. I recc'd using Kext utility for it. - Restart. - You should have a fully working SL leopard. - Comments: My DSDT I have already edited for 9600 GT 1024 videocard. I think it will boot fine with most nvidia cards. If you are having trouble then it might be better to set key>GraphicsEnabler</key> to "yes" in the com.apple.Boot.plist file. I used TonyMacx86 edits for nvidia cards to edit my DSDT for my graphics card. I thought ##### and ##### were mainly for P55 mobo's so I never tried them. did you use a DSDT from ##### or a different custom one? rimmi2002
If 10.6.6 is working for you, then can upgrade to 10.6.7 with no need to change anything.
