  1. Autosleep-Script

Thanks for this script KWS. I have been using it for 1 yr plus and has been working great. One thing that I just noticed is that I can't update cpu load for programs. I am using 10.7.4 and whether I open the main.scpt manually or through "Open RIP 10.7.x.app" when I make the change from example to add HandBrake to the list of Finder and Diskutility already present, the change stays till I reboot. On reboot, the program returns to its default values of Finder and Disk Utility only. My addition of Handbrake disappears. Do you have any idea as to why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it? Thanks.
  2. Power Button & WOL Wakes in Lion (10.7)

Hi I started using darkwake=0 and started running into trouble. On occasion when waking from sleep...all my usb ports are dead...meaning don't come back even after unplugging and plugging. I have to restart the computer to get USB functionality. To experiment I changed my darkwake from darkwake=0 to darkwake=1. Now things seem to be working better. Can anyone with more knowledge of the darkwake command please tell me what exactly it does and what is the difference between darkwake= 0 vs 1. Thanks.
  3. MSRDumper

Hi I tried out the Mac Mini 5,1 SMbios so I don't have to mess with the graphics kexts to use integrated graphics. Everything works well with the exception of P/C states. With MSRdumper, I only achieve two P/C states. (16,34). With Macbook Pro 8,1 SMBIOS I achieved 6 states(16,19,23,28,33,34). Anyone else have similar issues or is it something on my side. Thanks. My processor is i5-2500k and the rest of the hardware is in my sig below. Also is this an issue of MSRdumper not recognizing the P/C states for mac mini smbios or them not existing at all. Thanks.
  4. Thanks LatinMcG. My Device id is 432b per systeminfo app. My card is BCM94322MC...I guess I was told by someone else on TonymacOSx that for this card the subvendor ID is 8E. What is the difference between 8E and 8D. Where can I find the apple subvendor ID for a particular card? If I were to shorten the connector wires...how would I put the connector back on there? Thanks for the help. Also someone on another forum told me this might be due to crappy antenna's that come with the PCI-E card. I took antenna's from my router and replaced the PCI-E antenna's with them and then I could see a whole lot more networks so that might be the big chunk of the problem.
  5. Do you have Board Product ID for a mac mini or a smbios file for a mac mini? I'd like to use that instead of MacPro 8,1 since its more like a desktop. Maybe will get rid of some artifacts as well. Thanks.
  6. Hi I built a DIY wireless card. Bought this BCM94322 card from ebay and rebranded it. BCM Card: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Broadcom-BCM94322M...c#ht_500wt_1204 PCI-E card: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...#ht_2434wt_1187 Well, I got everything working, but it seems like the range of my wireless card is very limited. It only picks up my wireless network which is literally 4 feet away from the desktop and also one other surrounding network of a neighbor. It doesn't even see the free wireless network that my apt building offers. My macbook air at the same location picks up close to 11 networks and so does every other computer in my house including my cheap $10 tenda wireless stick. Any reason for such limited wireless range for this setup? I have both antennas connected and installed on the back....The antenna plugs clicked onto the BCM94322 card...I tugged to make sure they were secure and they are.....Is this the result of just an crappy PCI-mini to PCI-E card or something else that I can fix? Also I don't think this should make a difference but if it does I can change it. Instead of secure the BCM94322 card to the PCI-E card with screws (I didn't have any that fit) I just secured it down with plastic ties....I wouldn't think having screw there would make any difference, but if it does please let me know. thanks.
  7. AirDrop - Wifi compatible cards

  8. I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I was just curious...seems like the XPS series have a lot of support...are there any other newer series that have as good support and dsdt editing done for such good compatibility? If anyone has any rec's it'll be great to know. thanks.
  9. yup tried installing them as well. No change.
  10. AirDrop - Wifi compatible cards

I got this one...487330-001....lets see if it works when it gets here.
  11. AirDrop - Wifi compatible cards

Thanks fort the code Braddock. I'm thinking I'm using to use DSDT injection as well instead of rebranding the card. Its simpler...less chance of screwing up the card and does the same thing. My question is that I'm getting a generic Broadcom BCM94322 card. I'm going to use a PCI-mini to PCI-e converter. On my DSDT do I add this at the same location? at or will it go under a different device section. Thanks for the help!
  12. Thanks for the help Talisman.....just ran into a new issue. I have a Logtiech anywhere mouse. Whenever I plug it in...I get a kernel panic...sometimes right away and sometimes after a few minutes...I am running with voodoops2controller.kext only for keyboard/mouse. If that the conflict? Anyway around this? Thanks.
  13. Thanks Talisman...worked like a charm. It sleeps in state 0 if I put it to sleep manually. On lid closure it doesn't start back up...but if I put it to sleep and close the lid...then it wakes back up. Also no more CMOS resets on startup. Thanks! I guess its pretty much done and as complete as its going to be. I was wondering if anyone know how much more battery is consumed on State 0 vs. normal sleep. also my computer is CPU is heating up quite a bit more than it used to. The fan is running. Temps run up to 82 on max load. Thing that sucks is the air vent is at the bottom and it is lies on my lap its blocked and heats up even more...any workaround for that? I am using BIOS A014. Thanks.
  14. AirDrop - Wifi compatible cards

Hi I just bought a BCM94322MC generic card from ebay and was planning on rebranding it as apple. According to http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ he threw this card in a mac and it works with airdrop and all. I'm thinking it will still be seen as a third party card.I looked at prasys's guide and wanted to rebrand it as a apple card. He changed both device and vendor id, but his guide is for BCM94312MC card which is not compatible with airdrop. My question is what device ID would I use for the BCM94322MC? Its gotta be different that the BCM94312MC. Also does anyone know of a way of injecting the device and vendor id in the dsdt so don't have to mess with the card bios. Thanks.
