fizzy123
Hi, I have an Asus EAH5670 1gb. I have used kabyls bootloader, and it shows up in the system information. i am also able to get 1920x1080, but there is one problem with that resolution. it doesnt fit the whole of the screen, it is shifted to the right of the screen. Any ideas why ? i have attached images I also have an ioreg file, but cant upload thanks for the support. dothacker
could be your monitor itself. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246069-screen-resolution/#findComment-1632963 Share on other sites
fizzy123
could be your monitor itself. Nope, it works fine on windows 7 and ubuntu 10. It also worked fine on mac for a brief period last week, but then i updated to 10.6.6 and messed up the installation. Reinstalled but problem has returned Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246069-screen-resolution/#findComment-1633201 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
Try changing the refresh rate. As Dothacker hints at, if you're using VGA, press the 'auto' or 'adjust' button on your monitor. Try using a DVI VGA adapter. Display timings on OS X could be slightly different than they are on other operating systems? This would cause what you are seeing. fizzy123
Tried the monitors auto mode, no avail. The monitor is connected via a dvi adaptor. also tried vga, but the same thing. the refresh rates are greyed out apart from 60hz which is the default. :-s Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246069-screen-resolution/#findComment-1633239 Share on other sites
