mathq
Hello everyone, Everything was working fine on 10.6.2, but I would like to have the App Store. With iAtkos, if I do a clean install, letting the default settings, many things aren't working, such as the USB. So, I tried LeoHazard 10.6.2 with default settings, booted it up, everything worked perfectly. So, I tried to update, and on the reboot, no kernel panic, just a spinning wheel that won't stop spinning. When I boot in verbose mode, it gives me: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out And a bunch of HDAEnabler, and at the end VoodooPower[Warning] Unloading P.S.: When I updated, it gave me a kernel panic while moving files. (at the end) The system infos are the one in the signature Booting in safe mode (-x flag) before doing the update solved that problem Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245138-solved-doesnt-boot-after-1066/ Share on other sites
danerd100
Using This file worked for me. It says legacy_kernel 10.6.0 but it was necessary for me when I upgraded to 10.6.6. It might just be an AMD thing, but you can give it a try. mathq
I have now the kernel panic that occurs at the end. It is about ACPI_SMC_PLATFORMPLUGIN. I post a photo there. If anyone could help it would be really appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245138-solved-doesnt-boot-after-1066/#findComment-1630047 Share on other sites
ahn
hi how did you solve this? i have the same issue when i update to 10.6.6 with the combo update? i get the kernel panics at the end when it says moving files, and then it wont boot no matter what flags i use! could it be that you have to use safe mode to install it? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245138-solved-doesnt-boot-after-1066/#findComment-1669209 Share on other sites
mathq
Before asking, you should have looked at what I wrote at the end of my first post. And, yes, it has been solved by booting with the -x flag which is safe mode. (you should boot with -x before doing the update) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245138-solved-doesnt-boot-after-1066/#findComment-1669422 Share on other sites
