I have two computers I've been trying to install OSX too. I plan on buying an apple in the future but cant right now. please help me setup my laptop and pc with OSX.

I have a few iso i've been trying with no success. I get a hanging screen or freeze after install.

The Iso i have to use are:

iAtkos V7

iAtkos S3 V2

Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel/AMD

iPC_OSx86_Leopard_10_5_6_Intel_AMD_SSE2_SSE3

Snow Leopard 10.6 Final

Which ISO should I use? Is there a better iso to download?

PC:

3.4 ghz AMD Quad Core Phenom II X4 965: mmx, 3dnow, sse 1,2,3,4a, x86-64, amd-v

4 gb memory ddr3

nvidia gtx470

gigabyte motherboard ma790gpt-ud3h

chipset 790gx (sb700)

1 tb hd

Laptop:

Intel Pentium M 1.5 ghz

1 gb ram

nvidia geforce fx go5200

chipset intel 82801db (ich4-m)

I've tried many different iso's and kernels....please help!!! I've been at it for days straight and finally got stuck...is there any settings i need to change in the bios before install?

I would suggest trying Hazzard 10.6.2 for the AMD machine. Your motherboard is almost the same as mine and should work ok. Try to install with the minimum number of kexts first to eliminate the issues. You will need to install a kernel (try mobdin first) and graphics nveNabler works for me but your card is pretty new, might have issues there. You don't need the amd patches if you install the kernel. Try that and let me know how it works, I'll try to dig up my instructions I have at home and see if I forgot anything.

Thanks downloading Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard, this one right? Also I have an onboard GPU ATI Radeon 3300 if the gtx470 won't work. Will do what you say and report back. thanks!

Yep that's the one. There is a Radeon option on the installer but I can't vouch for how well it works.

##### is a post-installation utility, it contains lot of kext and cool stuff, you can download it from:

http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/02/mul...stallation.html

i downloaded it. its not an iso, its a folder with files. how do i use this? with a flash drive? thanks

UPDATE:

Laptop: I have a successful install on my laptop, but when it restarts it hangs on the apple load screen. i tried -v, -f, -x but it still won't load.

PC: I cannot even begin the install. it constantly freezes or restarts. I uploaded 2 photos of the PC Freeze that prevents me from even trying the install. I get different errors, but they both prevent the install.....Please help.

I now have ideneb iso and Hazard iso. I also have ##### which didn't help boot. grrr. i'm screwed.

Try booting with 'cpus=1' to boot install see if that helps
