Hi everyone,

I´m having trouble to put the sound to work on my Os X on my PC.

My system Configuration :

Soltek i865 Chipset with Celeron 335 ( 2.8GHz SSE3 )

512MB DDR Crucial Tech

20GB ATA-133 HD MAxtor

ATI 9200 AGP ( Vesa 2.0 with 1024x768 w/ 32Bit color )

Intel Ethernet Card / Realtek 8139 on MotherBoard.

Sound Blaster Live! MP3+ ( I know, this Card did not work on MAC OS)

AC 97 Sound ( ICH5 on South Bridge )

Now, I have removed my Sound Blaster from the PCI Slot, I have put to AUTO option on BIOS for AC97 ( just have Disable and Auto for Select ), I reinstall my OS X to try a "hardware Redetection" but still nothing.

Anyone have solved this issue and can help me?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Rafael Valente

At the risk of being terribly obvious, have you tried the wiki Audio Guide?

hI THERE,

I Have done the Wiki guide, first thing that I look is that there isn't this <string> **Other ids** </string>.

Second, I could get my Device Name and Manufacturer, that's the ICH5 Intel 24D*8086 ( * I forgot the number ). Once I found the device there I did nothing in the file, just save and exit and I have continued to follow the wiki.

In the end, I was able to put the sound to work =)

Now, I have turned off my "MAC" for a Restart and the sound GONE! No sound Again, I follow the steps of wiki again, did the same thing and the sound does not appear for me. What to do now?

What I didn't understand is that my Device is listed there on the ICH5 string, but not working.

Hope someone can figure out this strange thing.

Thanks in Advance,

Best Regards,
