igors2
Hello all, Yesterday I've installed iATKOS S3 v2 on my machine which is: CPU:Intel i7 920 MB:GIGABYTE EX58-UD3R Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 260 GTX 896MB Ram RAM: 6GB (i don't remember the vendor) I used a loader to boot up the graphics card because the patch with OSX86Tools did not worked I tried a million combinations... The system works perfectly, everything out of the box, except I noticed that the CPU is working constantly, activity monitor is not showing any load except for the occasional 5-10% load. I know that the CPU is working because of my POWER Supply is constantly having the sound as something is taking power. The processor in windows has a stable temp. around 36-38 C here as I can see it is from 40-45 C. The system is seeing the processor as Quad-Core Intel Xeon I don't know if this is the problem. Also the graphics card temperature is higher than in windows. Is there any way I can solve this issue? Can someone give a tip or something. Best regards And thanks in advance Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242200-cpu-constantly-working-help-please/ Share on other sites

Gringo Vermelho
The system is seeing the processor as Quad-Core Intel Xeon I don't know if this is the problem. That's Chameleon "faking" your CPU for better compatibility. Upgrade to Chameleon 2.0 RC5 and work on getting native power management working.
