Brian Fogarty
Hi I recently installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Dell C521. I still have the factory default hardware - I have not made any modifications to the computer. I booted it up and everything worked fine, except my audio. I have a Sigmatel 9227 sound card. I've searched the forum and tried many of the solutions posted but none of them seem to work. Does anyone have a working solution to this? Any help would be appreciated! Brian Fogarty
What have you tried so far? Hi, thanks for replying. I've tried the AppleHDA and HDAEnabler kexts from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=134879 (version 2), and AppleHDAPatcher versions 1.10, 1.15, and 1.20. Users with similar hardware configurations to mine have reportedly had success with all these options. EDIT: I've now also tried AppleHDAPatcher version 1.14. EDIT: I was originally using the provided STAC9227_83847618 codec dump with the patcher, but I created my own - still no luck with version 1.20. I'll try the others later. EDIT: I've tried my custom codec dump with versions 1.17, 1.18, 1.20, 1.14, and 1.15 of the patcher - still no luck! :glare:
