Hello folks,

I recently installed Mac OS X system into my ASUS G2S laptop with external hard drive by using Empire EFI v1.085 disc successfully. I tried to install myHack 1.0 but unable boot it directly. I was only boot Mac OS X system through Empire EFI disc. My external hard drive was plugged into eSATA port, not USB port.

With -v -x option, it showed that it still was waiting for root device forever. It only made through with Empire EFI disc.

I found myHack 1.1 and installed it. It still resulted the same.

Does anyone know any solution for direct boot from hard drive?

System configs:

ASUS G2S Laptop w/external hard drive on eSATA port

Mac OS X 10.6 SL disc with 10.6.5 updated.

Empire EFI v1.085

Thanks!

Your Empire EFI boot CD has a driver on it that makes your eSATA port work. You need to identify that driver, pull it from the CD and install it on your HD.

Google "how to make a Chameleon boot CD", reading about how to make a boot CD will teach you how to take one apart so that you can find the files you need.
