xlucian
I've downloaded a mooded bios (with the necessary os x fixes) for my mobo P5Q Deluxe from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...180441&st=0 the install went fine (i'ts not the first time i've flashed a bios) but after reboot on my screen i see the intel logo and writing on the bottom of the screen "Press DEL to run setup, Press TAB to display bios post message" ...and that is it....it won't go any further....if i press del it won't go into setup, it won't react at enything...F2, Esc F8 or any other key. i've tried -clead cmos (using jumper) -clear cmos (removing battery...for about a minute) -swapping the bios chips (one of them should be a backup and unwriteable) same thing after everything can anyone help me to make it work again
FKA
Sounds like it's not liking the current RAM or CPU settings .. Have you selected "load some other default settings" at boot. Even though you have cleared CMOS you may still need to select optomised default settings. If this fails .. try one RAM stick etc etc .. This doesn't sound like a bad flash! EDIT - does the board have any FSB jumpers? are they set to default? D
xlucian
tried with on ram...same thing. i don't know if there are any fsb jumpers since i've bought it every thing was on defauls...relating cpu and ram settings

Once the board locks up if you keep hitting reset, when it locks again reset again .. see if you eventually recieve a message stating previous OC settings failed - would you like to load some other default settings. At that point you can then select to load optomised default settings - as you would do after any BIOS flash. To be honest clearing the CMOS properly should have the same effect!
