mactogo
Is there a proper way to do it or do i just simply send the application icon to the trash bin? I've installed palm desktop software in the hope that it would work (NOT!)! It came with an installer but there doesn't seem to be an uninstaller. Sesquipedalian
That's the beauty of OS X. Just drag it to the trash, and the app is gone. The way things should be. weeguy
Even though that removes the app, it doesn't remove the residual files, such as preferences. In fact, these files are pretty much stored all over the Library folder. In fact, trying to do a clean uninstallation of Adium was quite a headache. The Adium window positions were stored in one folder, the user icons in another, and the adium preferences in yet another. batitombo
When I put imovie in the trash I think all of it was gone, at least imovie Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2394-uninstalling-apps/#findComment-15525 Share on other sites
Cyman
Yeah, I can confirm that sometimes it is kind of complicated to get rid of all the files, an application installs, like for example Adobe CS2 does. Several hundreds of MB had to be deleted manually! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2394-uninstalling-apps/#findComment-15564 Share on other sites
opera
oh... the beauty of OS X. I like a lot of things in OS X but things like that really make it loose points.
