I just finished installing Mac OS X on my Dell Inspiron. I've got Mac OS running just with one problem (it's hard to explain, but I'll do my best). Every animation (like opening a finder window) goes in really slow motion, like 5-10 seconds to open a window. And it doesn't do anything unless I'm moving the cursor the whole time (like back and forth or in circles). If I stop moving the cursor it pauses where ever it is (until I start moving it again). What I mean by animation is every fade in/out and windows opening.

If there's anymore info I should give, please just let me know.

Easy now, giorgio :P it's a newbie :P He probably dont know what QE/CI is :P

what is your laptop's graphics card? if you dont know what it is, at least give us a model of your inspiron, or the service tag so i can look it up at the dell website, or you can do it for us.

The slow motion of your graphics indicates that your GFX card is not working with it's potential... pretty much in "retard" mode (can i say that word here?) :P You need to enable Quartz Extreme (QE) and Core Image (CI).

If you need to find out more about these, please refer to this post:
