ATV642
Hi all, I wanted to say that I have no sound on my osx86 laptop. I don't exactly know what my sound driver is but on the device manager it says "Realtek High Definition Audio". I really want to fix this because I am going to be using a lot of audio related programs, like Logic Studio. Anyone have any ideas? -ATV642 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236977-no-sound/ Share on other sites

ATV642
Have you tried voodooHDA.kext? Yes I have tried VoodooHDA but it still does not fix it. I forgot to mention, I'm running 10.5.5 iDeneb v1.3 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236977-no-sound/#findComment-1582089 Share on other sites
andrewgaspo
Try with the kext "RealteK AC97". It's a universal kext for all sound card made "Realtek". In my mac this kext really works Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236977-no-sound/#findComment-1582240 Share on other sites
dothacker
it's the AzaliaAudio. here's the file: AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.zip Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236977-no-sound/#findComment-1582317 Share on other sites
ATV642
it's the AzaliaAudio. here's the file: I'm afraid to say that that doesn't work either. All that shows when I try to turn the volume up is a speaker with a cross through it. I'm going to try what andrewgaspo recommended. But if that doesn't work I don't know what to do. dothacker
... wasn't he suppose to delete VoodooHDA before putting another audio kext? at least, that's what i would do.
