thejakeman
I'm running a normal Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop with the 10.5.2 Kalyway method, and I'm having some problems. No battery display No sound, not even a volume slider. ("I tried some VoodoHDA thing but it gave me this error: Could not load VoodooHDA preference pane.") No USB capabilities unless I boot with the drive plugged in Can't wake up from sleep mode Can't wake up from closing the lid Also, how can I update from this 10.5.2 to 10.5.8? I'm downloading the 10.5.8 Combo Update from Apple at the moment. Or, if possible, how can I get some sort of 10.6? Everything else seems to be working perfectly though! How can I fix these problems? Here's some info from System Profiler: Hardware Overview: Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro3,1 Processor Name: Intel Core Duo Processor Speed: 1.73 GHz Number Of Processors: 0 Total Number Of Cores: 1 (I'm using the setcpu 1 thing due to graphics problems, I have a Core Duo) L2 Cache: 2 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 533 MHz Boot ROM Version: BOOT.EFI.V80 Serial Number: CK157KMHK5B Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236916-problems-with-kalyway-1052-ready-to-switch-back-to-windows/ Share on other sites
dothacker
so you have a laptop that says "Mac Pro"? lol anyways, U should just get Iatkos S3 V2 or install Retail Snow Leopard. Ur laptop can support it. You can't go 10.6 from 10.5 without reformatting and re-installing the OS. Not like Windows where you can upgrade from XP to Vista... (i should've said downgrade) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236916-problems-with-kalyway-1052-ready-to-switch-back-to-windows/#findComment-1581577 Share on other sites

So my laptop would work seamlessly with the ##### thing and a retail disc?
