Can someone please give me a guide on how to install iATKOS v7 on my Pentium4 Desktop

I got :

Pentium 4 Processor

P4M800-M7 Motherboard

Onboard Sound (Realtek)

Onboard VGA (S3 i think)

Onboard LAN

SATA DVD Drive

Sata HDD 160GB

IDE HDD 6.8GB

PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse

USB Mouse

got USB realtek wireless adapter too..

Here is what happened.. please tell me the cause of the problem

1) I installed iATKOS v7 to the 6.8GB IDE HDD. Only SATA HDD and usb wireless adapter is not connected. It finished installing removed iATKOS DVD and boot from the IDE HDD. Mac welcomed me and asked something like Name, Phone Number etc. And i used Mac OS!

But i tried to format again the IDE HD, I mean new installation of iATKOS, It finished installing removed iATKOS DVD and boot from the IDE HDD, it says "Still waiting for root device". I'm confused because. I used same installation same settings in the second installation. but why can't I boot? (Darwin)

Please someone give me a guide if you have installed iATKOS v7 on a board like mine SMOOTHLY.

Your every help and answer is highly appreciated. thanks in advance.

2) Can you please help me to.. instead of installing it to the IDE 6.8GB HDD, it will install on my SATA 160GB HDD full.

I used to install iATKOS v7 on my SATA but, the installation progress stops at some point, like it hangs forever. (because I sleep and wake up nothing happened)

ask me whenever you need more details. I'll answer as soon as I get your questions.

What onboard lan card is it? what computer is it (i.e dell optiplex gx280)? what onboard soundcard is it? and what onboard VGA is it?

Actually I used all onboard hardwares to make it easy to install iATKOS for the very first time.

I'd love to see an update here, I have the same board and am hoping to have a go at this...it'd be cool to know it'll not be a waste of my time. ;)

Evidently the trend around here is to utterly ignore n00bs. The number of posts with 0 replies is truly stunning. I suppose that's to be expected, although it is disappointing. A project like this has so much potential...

That's okay. I'll either get it up and running on my own, or forgo the whole thing, having wasted a good bit of time downloading bad isos. Truth of the matter is, a clean and properly maintained XP box will do what I need it to for my DAW, and my Suse box has served faithfully as my primary desktop for years - I doubt I could expect that from some cracked and cobbled OS like OSx86.

Nonetheless, if anybody has a solid answer here, that would be awesome.

""cracked and cobbled OS like OSx86"" --Why do you want to install it for then?

If you really want to try, purchase the OS X retail install ($30) and use the myhack or boot CD methods

And the number of posts with no replies are because the people that could help are sick of answering the same questions over & over.
